Street Kids International
giving street kids everywhere a chance
We are proud to work with Street Kids International as they build their brand and extend their reach and impact around the world. Their work teaching street kids to be entrepreneurs aligns with our own practice which seeks to learn from and harness the instinctive brand leadership of the entrepreneur.
Street Kids International is a non-profit agency founded in Canada that is a global leader in developing and disseminating the strategies and tools needed to give street kids around the world the choices, skills and opportunities to make a better life for themselves. They team with youth workers to develop locally-relevant, innovative workshops using award winning animations that engage kids about sexual health, drug use and youth entrepreneurship. Having reached more than 2 million street kids in over 60 countries, Street Kids International has been recognized by the United Nations as a global best practice leader in youth work.
In Canada, Street Kids International is currently piloting a new program called CAP: Linking Youth Poverty Solutions. This three-year project is being piloted in York Region with core funding from the Ontario Trillium Foundation who identified it as a demonstration site for addressing the growing problem of youth poverty at the grassroots level. Having reached more than 2 million kids in over 60 countries globally, and more than 5000 youth in York Region, we have developed an expertise for connecting youth workers and youth in a new way. We are going to bring this expertise and link it with the local knowledge of our partner organizations to increase access to more effective programming for youth living in poverty.
